New tire sales delivered and fitted, Northwest Houston, Texas

Buying tires from Empire Tire means the tires arrive at your vehicle already matched to it and get fitted on the spot. We carry Goodyear, Cooper, BFGoodrich, Firestone, Michelin, Bridgestone, Toyo, Continental, Pirelli, Hankook, Falken and Uniroyal, and we pick from them using the three things printed on your current sidewall: the size, the load index and the speed rating. Those are not preferences, they are the figures your vehicle was engineered around. What is left after that is a real choice about how you actually drive, and it is where the money either gets spent well or wasted: a set built for towing in Texas heat is a different tire from a set built for a quiet highway commute, even in the same size.

What is included

How it works

  1. Tell us the vehicle. Year, make and model. The size too if you have it, though it is not needed.
  2. We match the tire. Size, load index and speed rating first, then the choice that fits how the vehicle is actually used.
  3. You bring it in. The tire, the mounter and the balancer are all in one place.
  4. Mounted and balanced. Mounted, balanced, torqued, pressures set, and the old set leaves with us.

Questions about new tire sales

Which tire brands do you carry?

Goodyear, Cooper, BFGoodrich, Firestone, Michelin, Bridgestone, Toyo, Continental, Pirelli, Hankook, Falken and Uniroyal. That spread covers everything from a daily commuter to a loaded work truck.

Which brand is best?

There is no single best brand, only the best tire for how you actually drive. A highway commuter, a job site truck and a loaded trailer each want something different, and that matters far more than the name on the sidewall.

Do you carry truck and SUV sizes?

Yes. Between the twelve brands we carry the size coverage runs from small passenger through light truck and SUV. Send us the size and we will confirm.

How do I read my tire size?

It is on the sidewall in a format like 245 55R19, where the first number is the width in millimetres, the second is the aspect ratio and the last is the wheel diameter in inches. Send us a photo and we will read it for you.

Where is the date code on a tire?

It is the four digit number at the end of the DOT code on the sidewall. The first two digits are the week and the last two are the year. Send a photo and we will decode it.

Can I fit a different size than the factory one?

Sometimes, but it changes your speedometer reading, your clearance and how the vehicle handles. If you want to change size, tell us what you are trying to achieve and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
